Rooted in science, led by care.
Meet Dr. Sylvia “Sisi” Quintero

A Lifelong Vocation
At just eight years old, after witnessing her sister's birth, Dr. Sisi Quintero developed a deep respect for the transformative power of medicine. After earning her Medical Degree (MD) and pursuing postgraduate training, Dr. Sisi Q worked alongside specialists in fertility, gynecology, and obstetrics. She later expanded her practice by becoming board certified in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, deepening her ability to care for women from multiple healing perspectives.
She founded and leads a state-of-the-art Women's Wellness Center at Mercy Hospital in Miami, where ancient wisdom meets modern science. Her approach bridges Functional Medicine, Eastern healing traditions, and advanced diagnostic technology to address the whole person: body, mind, and spirit, helping women heal at the root, not just manage symptoms.
When medicine became personal:
Dr. Quintero earned her MD at the Central University of Venezuela and trained extensively in fertility, gynecology, and obstetrics. She completed a fellowship in fetal ultrasound and specialized in pain management through Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. When her own son received a prenatal heart diagnosis during her pregnancy, everything shifted, she understood firsthand what it meant to be both doctor and patient, which reshaped how she supports women through the uncertainty and vulnerability of motherhood.
A new path in healing:
After moving to Miami in 2014, Dr. Quintero rebuilt her medical career from the ground up. She became board certified in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, practicing for over a decade alongside chiropractors and integrative teams. In 2024, she trained in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine, studying under leaders like Dr. Mark Hyman. Now she weaves together Eastern and Western medicine to help women heal at the root, not just manage symptoms.
